Innovative experimenting in the Cross-border eInvoicing:
Invitation to possible joint actions in 2008
- Innovative Cross-border eInvoicing rational
Since 2004, there were several cross-border eInvoicing activities
and events in Slovenia organized in collaboration with the
neighboring countries Austria and Italy in cooperation with Finland
and European Commission (eBSN). Based on knowledge gained and lessons
learned in the previous years, it seems appropriate not only to
continue with the practical cross-border eInvoicing experimenting,
but also to accelerate it in an open innovation environment provided
by the Living Labs in a frame of
European Network of Living Labs –
ENoLL.
The eInvoicing is a major component of the eProcurement, an upcoming
effort of the EU member states
(ICT Standardisation).
We, in the countries of the emerging eRegion Central Europe, can
help making the eInvoicing and the eProcurement a reality sooner and
more effectively by working together to the benefits of our
organizations and countries.
The "Alliance with Users"
eGovernment Conference 2008 (February
11-13, 2008, Brdo, Slovenia) has indicated
two major current issues in the eGovernment development in the EU
member states: Cross-border focus and interoperability. The
eInvoicing & eProcurement topics have been addressed at the
i2010
Conference »Information Society at the Crossroads - Preparing
Europe’s digital future”; particularly the Pan-European Services and
Products panel (13–14 May 2008 in Brdo, Slovenia). The upcoming Pan-European
Services
Directive has been presented.
We believe that the invitation to the “Innovative experimenting in
the Cross-border eInvoicing” is a direct response to the well echoed
messages of both conferences during the Slovenia European Council
Presidency.
The results of the 2008 cross-border eInvoicing experimenting will
be a component of a presentation in the “Creative Knowledge Society
Village” of the
OPEN DAYS, 2008 European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels
on 6-9 October 2008 where the Slovenia initiative
“Innovation
for Life Quality - Slovenia Living Lab” has applied for
a booth. The organizations participating will be indicated in the
event’s brochure.
Invitation
Organizations are kindly invited to engage in the cross-border eInvoicing experimenting in a very practical, however broadly focused and courageously planed activities. The individuals interested are welcome to contact the group coordinators, or any of the group members (see a list bellow). The group is open and is expected to grow. The initiating members are in the countries of the emerging eRegion Central Europe. They are looking forward to engaging in the cross-border eInvoicing experimenting with the countries in other eRegions too: Baltic, Mediterranean, Nordic, South East Europe.
